Dear IFC colleagues,

Please find attached the joint comments and resolution of a number of NGOs, IPOs and smallholders on the 11th January 2011 consultation draft WB Framework and IFC Strategy for Engagement in the Palm Oil Sector of the Indonesian version 'Kerangka Kerja Kelompok Bank Dunia dan Strategi IFC untuk Keterlibatan dalam Sektor Minyak Kelapa Sawit'.

This Joint Statement and resolution have been prepared by the signatories and affected communities both smallholders and indigenous peoples, and endorsed by 146 individuals and organisations largely from Indonesia but also endorsed and supported by individuals and organisations from the US, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Germany, etc.

The endorsers of this joint comments and resolution include Indonesian Indigenous Peoples, oil palm smallholders, professionals, social and environmental NGOs, and supportive international groups.
